RK550 Manual Steering Rebuild Kit For Saginaw 525 Series Manual Gears

This repair kit (RK550)  is for Saginaw made 525 Series manual steering gears that have  5675288, 5673800, 5679142, 5693665, and  5698180 casting numbers. There may still be others cast numbers that have not been verified.

Please verify prior to ordering

This small parts repair kit will fit many of the manual steering gears found in GM and other manufacturers cars and trucks.  These gearboxes are also found in construction,  industrial, and agricultural machines.

Application years range from the 1960s to present.

This kit may also fit other casting numbers not listed here, so please contact us for more information (please have a casting number from the housing)

This kit will also repair 5673589 (commonly found in 1960-66 Chevy Pickup’s) and 5677649 (1963-82 Corvette)–BUT you will need to purchase another 10806 Pitman Shaft Bushing

This kit will not completely repair Saginaw Cast number(s) 7809666 and 5696084  Please contact us for repair parts for these casting numbers–we can supply repair kits for these!

• Qty 2 – Wormshaft thrust bearing cups

• Qty 1 – Pitman shaft seal
• Qty 1 – Side cover gasket

Please Note: Side cover bushing is not included in this kit.  Please inquire if needed. We will need to know if the side cover is aluminum or cast iron.
